Thanks to everyone who contributed to our sponsored read event during World Book Week.  In total we raised nearly £2000 to spend on books.  Children from across the school were involved in choosing the new home and guided reading books to develop the love of reading across the school.  Well done everyone who took part.

Pirates Week!

In Foundation Stage we have been learning about Pirates. We were hooked into learning through our new ‘Night Pirates’ role play areas which stimulated the learning. Throughout the week we have been on a range of pirate adventures. We made treasure maps, drew pirate pictures, constructed our own pirate ships, completed critical thinking challenges, created our own pirate adventure stories and had a pirate day to end the week. Nursery Update!

In Nursery, We have been looking at Traditional Tales. The children have loved acting out the story, predicting what might happen and looking forward to the exciting activities the characters from the stories are leaving us to, Such as, tasting porridge like Goldilocks, making a gingerbread house for the gingerbread man and even making our own gingerbread people. We have had lots of fun. On top of all of that we have been practising very hard for our Nativity. Y1 letters to Santa

Year One had a fantastic time writing letters to Santa. We informed Santa of all the fantastic things we have done this year and sent him our Christmas lists.  We walked to the post box and sent our letters directly to the North Pole. We are waiting in anticipation to see if we receive any replies. (We know he is super busy at the moment in preparation for the big day!) Merry Christmas everyone x

The coffee morning was a fantastic success, everyone had a wonderful time giving at the same time to a very worthy cause. Raffles, cakes and laughter, GREAT. Thank you to all who participated especially our wonderful children.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

A big thank you to everybody that came and supported our Macmillan Coffee morning on Friday 27th September. It was an extremely successful morning for this worthy cause and we would like to say a huge thank you to the PTFA for organising this event. Through the selling of cakes, biscuits and hot drinks, Town End Academy raised an amazing £442.45! Overall, Wise Academies made a grand total £1363.92! Now that’s something to be proud of!
